Biography
Tracy Fehr
has been a frequent soloist with the University of Alberta
Madrigal Singers and the U of A Symphony. Recent concerts have included
a spring CBC radio broadcast of Poulenc's Gloria held at the
Winspear Centre in Edmonton under the direction of conductor Malcolm
Forsythe, Bach's Christmas Oratorio performed at the Winspear
Centre under the direction of Dr. Len Ratzlaff, and Britten's Rejoice
in the Lamb.
Tracy has performed
in university related concerts held at the Winspear Centre,
Jubilee Auditorium, Convocation Hall, Shaw Conference Centre, and various
other venues. She has also appeared with the University of Alberta Madrigal
Singers on CBC national television and on the Madrigal Singers' latest
Christmas CD, Balulalow.
Tracy has
had several engagements as guest vocalist at both spring and
fall convocations at the U of A. In the fall of 2002, she accepted a
faculty position as voice instructor at the Penticton Academy of Music.
She continues to perform both as a soloist and with Masterworks Ensemble
(voice, violin, piano and guitar quartet), as well as conduct clinics
and workshops in vocal pedagogy and singing technique.
Tracy Fehr holds a
Bachelor of Music in vocal performance (2002, University of
Alberta) as well as an A.R.C.T. in singing, performance (1996, Royal
Conservatory of Music, Toronto).
