On our second to last evening in Tunis, Doreen and I shared stories and songs at a Rug Party! This was hosted by our social worker’s expat friend who had invited other expat women and some local women. "S's" rugs were sold at this party and Doreen and I connected with several Canadian women who are living in the city. Many of these women had not travelled out of the northern capital and so were hearing for the first time the stories of some of our sponsored girls!
The last day in North Africa, I spent at the American school, giving several vocal workshops and an assembly, followed by a concert which was also a fundraiser for *act*. On our last evening, we had dinner with the *act* administrator and his wife and family, and then spent some short but quality time with our hosts. They are fabulous hosts and during our stay there, we were often treated to coffee in bed! Our final morning before heading on to the UK, our hosts set up a “Bedouin tent” on their front porch and we shared breakfast and final moments together!

In the UK we were able to promote A Song for Hope at an event in Cheshire and raised money to help support one girl in training for a whole year! While in London, Doreen and I were interviewed on Maria Toth's "Women to Women" morning show at Premier Christian Radio and shared our stories and songs.
For further information on the sponsorship project, A Song for Hope, please e-mail me! God bless!
